This workshop is for you!
In this 3 hour workshop we are going to test as many art supplies as humanly possible!
For each medium we will engage in the following activities in order to allow you to really get a feel for how the properties, pros and cons of each of the 6 materials.
At the end of the workshop you will have created a reference book of various mediums and how they behave in comparison to each other.
Play and get a fees for the tools needed - sketches, scribbles, splots, splats, and blobs.
Create a value study - no, you don’t need to know what this means right now.
Create a color wheel using the medium
Fill in a coloring page
Timers will be set, your brain will be so full, and your heart will be absolutely BURSTING with possibility, inspiration and delight!
Mediums / supplies to be tested
Drawing (Dry Media):
Graphite
Charcoal
Chalk pastels
Color Pencils
Painting (wet media)
Watercolor paint
Water-soluble Pastel Crayons
Ink / Ink wash
Acrilic paint
Each participant will leave with their newly made and possibly still very wet reference book, a shopping list of supplies for each medium
